Four Line Song

The Diamond Teaching of the Buddha ends in the following poem. The Buddha said that if you learned it and tried to understand it, the benefits would be, well, absurdly great. So memorize it. Dare ya.

          A phantom, dewdrops, a lightning strike,
          A burning candle, skewed vision, the morning star;
          These are to illustrate what all things are like --
